Mary-Jo Knox, 71, of Grants Pass died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at her daughter's home in Grants Pass. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stephens Family Chapel, with the Rev. Stephen Fister of St. Rita's Retreat Center in Gold Hill presiding. Knox was born Oct. 7, 1937, in Omaha, Neb., to Michael and Marie Seibert. On Nov. 7, 1956, in Las Vegas, she married William A. Knox, who died Oct. 30, 2008. They moved to Grants Pass from Tehachapi, Calif. She enjoyed quilting and she was a member of the Three Rivers Quilt Guild and the Piece Makers. Survivors include four daughters, Valerie Carlson and Vanessa Feree, both of Lancaster, Calif., Vicki Braaten of Grants Pass, and Denise DuFon of Encinitas, Calif.; two sons, Raymond Knox of San Diego, and Jeffery Knox; and 15 grandchildren.
