Marvin C. Marschner, 86, of Grants Pass passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, April 8th at 3:30 PM at Stephens Family Chapel. Memorial Contributions: First Christian Church, 305 SW H Street, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526 Marvin was born on October 12, 1922 in Detroit Michigan to William and Sylvia Marschner. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1946. Marvin received a Bachelorâs Degree from Michigan State University. He enjoyed careers in engineering and design in the automotive industry (Ford and Chrysler) and in aerospace (Lockheed). Before retirement, he was a real estate property manager in the San Francisco Bay Area. Marvin married Jean Eloise OâDaniel on September 23, 1978 in Menlo Park, California. He was a member of First Christian Church and the Masons (32nd Order). His hobbies were woodworking, gardening, church groups and was a former Boy Scout Leader. He also enjoyed the Republican Party and his Christian Faith. Survivors include his wife Jean Marschner of Grants Pass; daughter, Carol Ann Marschner Malone of Sunnyvale, CA; step-daughter Barbara J. Hole of Kona Hawaii; two sons, William D. Hole of Eureka, CA and John C. Marschner of Santa Clara, CA; Seven grandchildren.
