Martha Jean Salie

Martha "Jean" Salie, 76, of Williams died Saturday, April 5, 2008, at her daughter's home in Williams. No services are planned. Salie was born April 27, 1931, in Picher, Okla., to Charles and Martha VanCuren. In 1949, in Bakersfield, Calif., she married Chad William Salie, who died in June 1990. She moved to Williams in 2003 from Omaha, Neb. She enjoyed spending time with her family and reading. Survivors include a daughter, Dayna Hurd of Williams; a son, Michael Salie of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Carol Cox and Jean Shields, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A daughter, Deborah Holosopple, died in January 2008.
