Marian was born on January 10, 1940 in Santa Barbara, California to Harvey and Marian Shaw. She worked for GTE phone company in California for many years. She moved to Oregon in 2004 from Santa Barbara, California. She was a member of the Catholic church and enjoyed reading and going to the beach. She is survived by her son, Michael Shaw of Rogue River, Oregon and 7 grandchildren.
