Marcie Lynn Shefren August 6, 1952 - August 28, 2012 Marcie Lynn Shefren was born in Chicago, Illinois, August 6, 1952. A free-spirited adventurer, Marcie's life-journey found her living in New England, Hawaii, and in the San Francisco Bay Area, settling in Grants Pass in 2005. Marcie was an internationally acclaimed, award-winning lighting designer whose work illuminates cathedrals, churches, wineries, hotels, casinos, restaurants, commercial buildings, landscapes and residences. Marcie's love of light found expression through nature photography and painting, as well. Her inner light was also articulated through the use of various musical instruments; guitars, keyboards and wind instruments were all vehicles for her radiant spirit. A lover of wilderness travel, of all-things-Alaska, Marcie also had a taste for the elegant and refined elements of culture, food, wine and all-things-Italian. Marcie was devoted to impeccable manifestation of spirit in every facet of her gracious and good-humored self-expression. Marcie passed into "the temple called beautiful" on August 28, 2012. She is eternally loved and survived by an extensive chosen family of friends, and a family of origin which includes brothers Phil and Len Shefren; nephews Andrew, David and Aaron Shefren as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Marcie was a member of the Grants Pass Center for Spiritual Living. Memorial services are planned for mid-October. Contact CSL for information: (541) 479-0007.
