Lura Elaine "Cookie" Clayton, 71 died peacefully on July 27, 2013 at Morrow Heights Assisted Living in Rogue River. Elaine was born June 12, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of LV and Irene Seaton. Elaine met and married the love of her life Frank Clayton April 24, 1965 in Santa Fe Springs, California. Eventually they moved to Rogue River in 1980. In addition to their own children Elaine and Frank also raised a nephew and a family friend. Elaine had a heart of gold and her passion was taking care of her family and friends. She also loved to travel, cook and enjoyed going to seven feathers with her family and friends. She loved little league baseball, football and all sporting events and was often the loudest cheerleader in the stands at local events. Her husband Frank Clayton; brother Larry Seaton; sister Betty Kramer; three sons Marshall Clayton, Bryan Clayton and Darren Clayton; daughter Sarah Simonds; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren survive Elaine.
