Louise Vobora, 95, of Grants Pass died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, at Three Rivers Community Hospital. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Family Chapel. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to the Gospel Rescue Mission Building Fund, P.O. Box 190, Grants Pass, OR 97528. Vobora was born March 18, 1914, in San Diego to Edward and Rosa Bedford. On June 28, 1931, in Moreno, Calif., she married Frank Vobora, who died in 1963. They moved to Grants Pass in 1947 from Hemet, Calif. She attended River Valley Community Church for many years. She enjoyed sewing, reading, watching television, walking, Bible studies and being involved in her church. She also enjoyed collecting items involving cats. Survivors include two sons, Joe Vobora of De Queen, Ark., and Stanley Vobora of Grants Pass; four daughters, Barbara Van de Wetering of Corvallis, and Margaret Besler, Alice Bromund and Katherine Vobora, all of Grants Pass; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
