He was born July 28, 1941 in Ventura, California. Louis worked as a Machinist in California and Oregon for most of his adult life and also some logging in Oregon. He also served in the Army in 1959. His hobbies were photography and editing pictures for Google sites featuring local businesses. Throughout his life he enjoyed hiking, camping, dancing and any and all of the latest technology. He spent a lot of his time helping others with their computers. Showing kindness with small gifts he would give to others. Survived by children: Tony Chapel of TX, Loren Chapel of CA, Kris Spiegelberg of CA, Duane Chapel of CA; brother, Steve Chapel of CA; 11 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren and many loving family and friends (you know who you are.)
