Lorraine" RAIN" Glover March 23, 1918 - February 8, 2008 Beloved wife, mother, grand and greatest grandmother, started her journey as 2nd child born to Chris and Jewell Crow in Oklahoma. They soon moved to Ontario, California. Lorraine had 3 brothers who preceded her in death CC, Paul, and Mark and three sisters, two preceding her in death Revell and Mary. With one surviving sister Kasnea Martin of Palm Desert Springs, Ca, whom she was exceptionally close to her and her husband Don. Lorraine graduated from Chaffey High school, were she excelled in business, languages, tennis, and swimming. She met and married her first love Ruel (Bob) Albrow DePew. They soon started their family. They moved to Murphy, Oregon in 1945 where they farmed and Bob worked in the local lumber mill. Lorraine became involved in the school and became PTA president, Brownie and Girl Scout leader. Bob passed away in December of 1950. Lorraine sold the farm, gathered up her family and moved into Grants Pass. She attended Byrd's Beauty College she became a licensed Cosmetologist and went on to own her own Beauty Shops in Klamath Falls, Ashland and Grants Pass. She met and married HC "Bud" Glover, who preceded her in death. Lorraine enjoyed her family, home, her yard, fishing, picnicking belonging to Emblem club #444 where she held the position of Chaplin. At home she played the piano and organ beautifully. She enjoyed family and her many many wonderful fun loving friends. She was a gifted tole and oil painter. Lorraine had three children Jerry and Christine who precede her in death and Carolyn and her husband Doyle. Jerry's wife Peggy Joan, Chris's husband Irving Johnson. She had 6 outstanding grand children Deanna, Rita, Shannon, Drew, Larry who precede her in death and Desiree. She also had 9 wonderful and beautiful great grand children, Darrel, Samantha, Brittney, Evan, Eugene, Ryan, Amanda, Trent and Casey. Lorraine loved her yard, and flowers where she worked tirelessly. She stated that she did not want a funeral or memorial service, so there will be none. She requested that her ashes be spread on the mountain overlooking her back yard so she could enjoy it for years to come! SO BE IT.....................! Lorraine's birthday is March 23rd, have a party and enjoy the day. She will love that. She would be 90 yrs young!
