It is with our sincerest condolences that we announce the passing of Lori Ann Truitt
(Whinery), 51, of Grants Pass, Oregon. Lori was born in Grants Pass, this is where she grew up and graduated high school in 1988. She later went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, from Southern Oregon University in 2009. Lori is described as having an amazing voice, and even sang in a band called Soul Food. She was loved and enjoyed by so many in the Rogue Valley music scene. Lori loved gardening, her music, her family, and the Oregon Ducks.
Lori is preceded in death by her father, AJ Whinery; son, Tuff Truitt; and nephew Eli Hobson. She is survived by her sons, Kristopher and Erik Brown; sister Vicky Palmerton; nieces, Rachael Hobson, Kim, Katie,
and Samantha Brown; nephew Ryan Hobson; grand-niece, Arissa Baca all of Grants Pass, Oregon. She is also survived by her brother, Alan Whinery; and niece, Luna Whinery of Forest Grove, Oregon. A memorial service to honor Lori will be held at Stephens Family Chapel on Friday, January 28, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lori's two sons for her funeral services are warmly accepted, and greatly appreciated.
