Larry Thompson

Larry Allen Thompson, 76 of Grants Pass passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Redwood Terrace Assisted Living Community in Grants Pass. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Riverside Park in the Centennial Gazebo. Larry was born on February 9, 1938 in Springfield, Illinois to Clyde and Lodeana Thompson. He grew up in southern Oregon; in Glendale and Grants Pass. He graduated high school in 1957. He worked as a Lineman and continued taking classes to further his career. He relocated to southern California and worked for Metropolitan Water District for 28 years. After he retired, he moved back to southern Oregon. Larry enjoyed fishing, motorcycle touring, and wrestling. He was also a Mason. Survivors include his daughters, Cindy Baughman of Needles, California, Beverly Thompson of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Linda Cooper of Grants Pass, Oregon; son Bruce Thompson of Bend, Oregon; brother, Donald Thompson of Medford, Oregon, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
