Larry M. Joplin, 69, of Wilderville passed away March 18, 2011 at his home A celebration of his life will be held at a later date at Shan Creek Community Bible Church. Interment with military honors will be held on Friday, April 1st, 11:00 AM at Eagle Point National Cemetery Contributions: Shan Creek Community Bible Church, 6101 Riverbanks, Road, Grants Pass, Oregon 97527. He was born on October 30, 1941 in Ontario, California to Mitchell and Hazle Joplin. He attended Chaffey College where he received his degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Larry served in the United States Air Force from September 22, 1961 until his honorable discharge on August 30, 1965. He became a licensed Airframe maintenance engineer to maintain, repair and certify the fuselage. On June 20, 1981 in Atascadero, California he married Donna Marie Bartholomew who survives. They moved to Wilderville from Atascadero in August of 2002. Larry was a member of Shan Creek Community Bible Church. Larry was a craftsman he loved designing & building Radio Control Airplanes and boats, reading and motorcycle riding. In addition to his wife Donna survivors include his son Mark Joplin of California and his sister Linda Fairbanks of Paso Robles, CA.
