Larry Armintrout

Laurence “Larry” Armintrout, 93 of Grants Pass, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2007 in Grants Pass. Services will be held at a later date. Larry was born on September 21, 1913 in York, Nebraska to Clyde and Pansy Armintrout. He graduated from York High School in the early 1930’s. In 1937 he moved to California with his family. Larry started working for Lockheed Martin in 1938 where he worked as a mechanic on experimental aircraft until hi retirement in 1978. While working at Lockheed Martin he met Ruth Branscom and they married in Los Angeles on June 13, 1944. Together they moved to Grants Pass in 1996 from Oceanside, California. Larry was a member of the Methodist Church. He enjoyed coin collecting and working with his hands, he was a true handyman. Survivors Include: Wife, Ruth Armintrout of Grants Pass; Son Donald Armintrout of Portland; 2 Daughters, Laura Parker of Pahrump, Nevada and Celia Shelton of Grants Pass; Sister Gladys Stein of Hawthorne, California; 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
