Kenneth Dean McFarlin, 55, of Grants Pass died Aug. 2, 2008, at Three Rivers Community Hospital. A potluck will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Park. He was born Aug. 20, 1952, in Grants Pass to Kenneth and Ruth McFarlin. He attended Illinois Valley High School for one year. In 1970, he graduated from Marysville High School in Marysville, Calif. Throughout his life, he worked in the woods and in sales. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on old cars. Survivors include his father and stepmother, Kenneth M. and Marge McFarlin of Lebanon; two sons, Sean Farschon of Medford and Brian McFarlin of Riddle; two sisters, Mavis Compton of Talent and Sherri Larrison of St. Helens; a stepbrother, Curtis Brown of Redding, Calif.; a stepsister, Mildred Crawford of Canyon Lake, Texas; and four grandchildren. His mother, Ruth A. Brown, his stepfather, Alvin Brown, and a brother, Leroy O. McFarlin, died before him.
