Kay Darlene (Campbell) Dickey 64 Kay died June 4, 2009 in Grants Pass. She was born September 11, 1944 in Grants Pass to Dr Harold and Opal Campbell. She attended Grants Pass Seventh Day Adventist Schools, graduating from Milo Adventist Academy 1962. Kay completed her Masters of Business Administration from Southern Oregon University. Kay had worked as Director of Development at Milo AdventistAcademy as well as working in Student Financial Services at Umpqua Community College and Rogue Community College. Kay worked as a florist, a bookkeeper, a fundraiser, and an event planner. She enjoyed decorating, scrapbooking, painting, cooking, baking, spending time with friends and her many children and grandchildren. Kay was always on the go, with a âcan-doâ spirit. There was nothing she would say ânoâ to; instead she would jump into projects feet first and hit the ground running. She will be remembered by her friends and family as a talented woman who was always ready to share and help others. Kay was a long-time member of the Grants Pass Seventh Day Adventist church. Kay is survived by her partner David Paiement and their daughters Kayte and Chloe Dickey. She is also survived by her sons Keven Dickey of Sutherlin, Oregon; Brent Dickey of Yoncalla, Oregon; and Sean Dickey of Wilsonville, Oregon; her daughter Lisa Callahan of Grants Pass; 16 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Kayâs brother Bud Campbell, previously of Grants Pass, is now living in Walla Walla, Washington. There was a Celebration of Friendship held March 1, 2009 to honor and celebrate Kayâs life. There will be a private interment.
