Kathleen "KC" Wilson

February 16, 1953 — August 14, 2013

Kathleen Roberta (Webster) Wilson ('KC', to those who knew and loved her). Born February 16, 1953. Died August 14, 2013 Mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and beloved friend. KC was a treasured friend to all who knew her. She had passion and zeal for life that could not be matched. Always very giving of herself, KC was known to give a stranger the shirt off her back if it was needed. Very passionate about music since her young age, KC entirely taught herself and could easily play any instrument placed in from of her; her real passion was the bass guitar. She fully believed in the power of music, passing on her talent and great love of music to her children. KC's deep love for horses came early in life, and many, many of our memories of her involves a story about a horse. A teller of tales always, a favorite or hers showcased her bravery and daring! She had trained two of her horses to ride bareback, and she would ride them standing up, side by side, one foot on each horse. It drove her daddy crazy - that's just the way she liked it. She was always pushing the envelope and testing her limits in her own life and encouraged others to do the same. Whatever the task at hand, she was dedicated, focused and meticulous. She worked hard and played hard. As Knife River's first female foreman, she was outstanding in her field. Her attention to the quality of her work was surpassed only by her dedication to the safety and well being of her crew. KC had a hand in constructing nearly every mile of the Southern Oregon Interstate 5 corridor and so much more. Any one that ever got to drive with her on that stretch of road would hear endless stories of her time and dedication to each project. She took great pride in her work and loved that she helped pave the way for countless travelers over many years. KC loved the outdoors and believed it was necessary for the soul to connect with nature. She had a fierce dedication to her family and friends; everyone that knew her couldn't help but be enriched by her spirit, her light and her laugh. KC was proceeded in death by her younger sister Aleen Gaylord in 2000. She was outlived by both of her parents, Bob and Anita Webster of Trail, OR. Her brother Don Webster of San Jose, CA. Her husband of 24 years, Graham Wilson. She leaves behind 5 children: Cara, Ami, Sarah, Robert and Amanda. 9 Grandchildren: Savannah, Juniper, Silas, Amara, Robert, Skyler, Elijah, Cameron and Evani. And 1 great grand-baby on the way. The world is a better place because she was in it. A memorial service will be held on Sunday the 25th from 3-4:30 pm at the Riverhouse in Shady cove, OR located at 7710 Rogue River Drive. To be followed immediately by the Celebration of life party.
