Karen Ann Moore

May 29, 1951 — December 7, 2011

Karen Ann Moore, 60 of Grants Pass, died December 7th at Three Rivers Community Hospital of complications due to Liver disease. Karen was born on May 29, 1951 in San Francisco, California. Her mother was Natalie French. When Karen was about 8 her mother married William Groteguth and he adopted Karen. Both have preceded her in death. Her biological father Gerald Smith, whom she was happy to meet when she was 36 years old, survives Karen. Karen spent her early adult years looking for truth and love. In 1975 at 24 years old, God's grace, through Jesus reached her. "O victory in Jesus, my Savior forever. He sought me and he bought me with His redeeming blood. He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love in due Him..." and she loved Him for the rest of her life In 1983 Karen married James A. Moore in Coloma, CA. Only 4 ½ months after they married Jim & Karen took in their 1st teenage boy. The rest of there almost 29 years of marriage always included people living in their home. In the Bible, in the book of James, it says pure and undefiled religion it to look after orphans and widows in their distress. This moved Jim and Karen to adopt four children in the early 90's. They adopted Zane James, Anna Faith, Olivia Jean and Jacob William. Karen was a giver and a lover of truth. She loved the Lord, husband, children, church, brethren, friends and relatives whole-heartedly. She was a devoted homemaker and homeschooling mother. Karen also loved to garden and do oil paintings. Karen is survived by her husband, children, her uncle and aunt Loni & Clair Groteguth, a brother George and sister Janet, many cousins and in laws. Proverbs 31:10-11 "An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels. The heart of her husband trusts her, and he will have no lack of gain."
