Juliana Irma Wooden-Lile was born to Erwin and Irma Weiss on March 28, 1941 in Alexandria, V.A. A graduate of Atherton High in Louisville, KY, the Weiss family including sisters Theresia and Karla, then moved to Salt Lake City where Julie was married to Raymond Wooden in the summer of 1960. From an early age Julie showed a tremendous love of animals and after moving from Salt Lake City to California and Oregon she continued in this passion to include championship Siberia Huskies from Julewood Kennels, and as an accomplished sled dog racer. She also turned her attention to horses and mules that included chariot racing, gymkhanas, pack mules, Oregon Trail wagon train, and most recently in Dressage. With a varied career, Julie was always known for her strength, determination, and dedication. Re-married in 1993 to Frank Lile, Julie remained the dynamic and outgoing person in all our lives, and always showed her great love of family, animals and travel. The loving and energetic mother of 5 children, Scott, Lisa, Leslie, Derek and Darlene, stepmother to Felicia, their spouses, and her grandchildren Ryan, Krista, Tara, Samantha, Mollie, Hunter ,Ashley, Bret April and Heather. Julie will be missed dearly by her family and friends. I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or anything good I can do to any fellow being, let me do it know, and not neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again. William Penn
