Judd O'Neil, 61, passed away at Three Rivers Hospital on Friday April 3rd. He was a true mountain man who loved the woods and the river. He enjoyed drinking beer, smoking, fishing, and just hanging around with his friends and family in the Shan Creek area. He was a construction worker for 15 years, then became a nurse about 25 years ago. He worked in just about every local hospital and nursing home for the past 22 years, before having to leave work due to health issues about 6 months ago. He was born in Boston, and served in the Army for two years, moving to Oregon shortly after. In 1977 he met and soon married his wife Mindy, who somehow managed to live with him ever since. He is also survived by two daughters, Sundae Rae (Sunrae) and Karleigh, a son Casey, brothers Mike and Barry, sister Noreen, and five grandchildren. His extended family includes many nurse and poker buddies, as well as the "Shan Creek Neighborhood Gang". A memorial potluck will be held rain or shine, 2 PM at Griffen Park on Saturday April 18th.
