Joyce Elane Farnsworth Kelley Larsen, 78, longtime resident of Grants Pass died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Highland Manor in Fallon, Nevada of natural causes. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 7th, 11:00 AM at Stephens Family Chapel. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. She was born Joyce Elane Farnsworth on May 18, 1929 in Los Angeles, California. She moved with her family to the Rogue Valley in 1944. She attended Grants Pass High Scholl where she met her husband Kenneth J. Kelley Sr. he preceded her in death. They married in 1947 and were active members in the grange where they were awarded National young Couple of the Year in 1960. She owned and operated several businesses throughout the years with the final one being her tax preparation service. She later married Kenneth Larsen. Joyce was an active member in the community. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and entertaining. Her passion was singing; in fact in her youth she sang at the Hollywood Bowl. Larsen is survived by 4 of her 5 children, Linda Eirls of Reno, NV; Kenneth Kelley Jr. of Burke, VA; Ruthie Saylor and Richard Kelley of Grants Pass. Her youngest, Margaret May, preceded her in death in April, 2003. Larson also had 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
