Joseph Charles Weaver

Joseph Charles Weaver, 87, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, in Grants Pass, OR. Joseph was born in Bethlehem, PA, to John and Elizabeth Weaver. In 1957, he married Doris Hawk and they had two sons, Dave and Dan. He graduated from Park College in Kansas and served 26 years in the Air Force. Joseph was stationed at many bases in the US and abroad. He retired and moved to Grants Pass, OR, in 1979. He taught ROTC at Grants Pass High School. In 1992, he married Kathy Forrest. He taught Tai Chi at RCC and Riverside Park for 15 years and attended River Valley Church. He loved his church home groups, God, country, family, books, crossword puzzles, dinners, cooking pizza, gardening, music, and playing piano.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth and his sister, Louise.

He is survived by Kathy and Doris; his children, Dave (Naomi), Dan (Hope), Kerri (Neil), Steve (Deanna), Becky (Michael) and Daughter in Law, Kari; and his beloved grandchildren, Hannah, Elizabeth, Anne, Ian, Charlie, Sam, Nathan, Lily, Justine, and Kyla. The family extends their gratitude to Sweet Pea Retirement Center of Grants Pass for their loving care.
