John Wesley Pease

John Wesley Pease, 68 of Azalea passed away June 29, 2014 while camping with his family in Powers, Oregon. Private family services will be held at a later date. John was born on September 4, 1945 in Hillsboro, Oregon to Frank and Grace Pease. He graduated from Hillsboro Union High School, Hillsboro, Oregon in 1964. On November 12, 1965 he married Sherry Lee Haugen. He was a former member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. His employment history included working as a Maintenance Foreman for Southern Pacific Railroad and Central Oregon Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and working in his woodshop. In addition to his wife survivors include his sons, Lane Pease of Colville, Washington, Dana Pease of Azalea, Oregon and Frank Pease of Glendale, Oregon; brothers, Buster Pease of Hillsboro, Oregon, Glenn Pease of Hillsboro, Oregon and Virgil Pease of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; sisters, Lois Sweitzer Hillsboro, Oregon, Meryl Kenaston of Salem, Oregon and Mildred Anderson of Grants Pass, Oregon and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one of his sisters and brothers, Burton Pease, Chuck Pease and Alvie Pease.
