Joan Cummins, 78 of Williams passed away peacefully at her home in Williams, Oregon on December 19, 2013. Born to Hurshell and Lucille Brisbin on October 15, 1935 in Quail, Texas. Her family later moved to California. There she met Orville "Wayne" Cummins and married on November 14, 1953. The couple raised their three children in Milpitas, California before retiring to Williams, Oregon in 1987. Called "Joanne" by her family and friends, she enjoyed camping, comedies - especialy the "I Love Lucy" show, classic country music, game shows, mexican and Chinese food, dining out with friends and casino slots. She was a working mother who also enjoyed bowling on her Tuesday nights off. She was also an avid loop rug maker for years. She is survived by siblings, Darrell Brisbin of Auburn, California; Donnie Griffen of Willis, Texas; a sister Barbara and brother Gene died before her; sons, Jon Cummins of Paradise, California, Dana Cummins of Helena, Montana; daughter, Pamela Swenor of San Jose, California; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was laid to rest with her husband at Eagle Point National Cemetery on December 26, 2013.
