Jesse Walter Perry, 86, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007 in Grants Pass, OR. Born on July 11, 1920 in New London, Connecticut to Frank & Emily Perry. Jesse served as a medical technician in the Pacific in WWII; and as Army nurse to captured Japanese Prime Minister General Hideki Tojo at the 98th Evacuation Hospital, in American-occupied Yokohama, Japan on September 11, 1945. For his service he earned the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon, American Theater Campaign Ribbon, and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with Bronze Service Star. He married and lived in Chicago, IL before moving his family to Sacramento, CA. He was a resident of Rogue River for the past 12 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 19 years and the mother of his children, Olga; and his eldest son Russell. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 13 years, Nancy. Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Lois Sutton Perry, of Rogue River; his son, Don Perry and his wife Kathy; his daughter Yvonne Perry Titherington and her husband Herb and his two grandsons Andrew and Michael, all of Sacramento, CA. He is also survived by his daughter Sharon Perry Davidson of Rogue River, her husband Wayne, and his two grandsons Benjamin and Ryan. He was dearly loved and will be missed.
