Grants Pass

Janice Joy Hutchings, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on October 21, 2024, at her home in Grants Pass, Oregon. Born on January 17, 1938, in Manhattan, Kansas, Jan lived a meaningful life, finding joy in her cherished pets and the simple pleasures of each day."

Janice's journey began in Kansas, where she found fulfillment in caring for others, pursuing her passions, and engaging with her community. She served as a Girl Scout, a school nurse, and a substitute teacher, touching the lives of many along the way. Jan's creative spirit shone in her love for crafting and fine art painting, where her talent and passion were evident in each piece she created.

In June 1962, Janice married Thomas Hutchings, and together they raised three children in Thousand Oaks, CA. In 1994 she moved to Grants Pass, Oregon where she resided for 30 years on her little farm where she had countless animals she adored and worked her land. While residing in Grants Pass she worked for the DHS Children's Division for many years before retiring. Her life was shaped by a quiet strength and resilience that will be remembered by all who knew her.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hutchings; her sons, Jon Hutchings (Joy) and Daniel Hutchings (Linda); her brothers, Jerrol and Jack Noller; along with her eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is now reunited in peace with her parents, Wilbur and Hazel Noller. May her memory bring comfort and inspiration to those who shared in her journey.
