Janet Renee Simons

Janet Renee Simons 50 of Grants Pass passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at home from cancer. Celebration of her life with Military Honors will be held Friday, May 18th 1:00 PM at Stephens Family Chapel with Pastor Ken Bern officiating. She was born on August 22, 1961 in Grants Pass, Oregon. She attended area schools before joining the Air Force in 1979 serving until her honorable discharge on December 5, 1984. Janet worked for 25 years locally as a Registered Nurse. On February 14, 1996 she married Charles Simons who survives. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She enjoyed crocheting, riding motorcycles and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband Charles survivors include five children Stephanie Bradshaw of Grants Pass; Charles Simons, of Grants Pass; Mike Simons of Clovis, New Mexico; Chris Simons of Grants Pass and Mitch Simons of Grants Pass; Mother Linda Volkmon of Grants Pass; Sister Carol Hoglen of Grants Pass; Three brothers Tim Reynolds of Grants Pass, Randy Reynolds of O'Brien and Terry Reynolds of Cave Junction; Six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Rebecca and granddaughter Alexis.
