James Douglas Morningstar

October 2, 1946 — May 2, 2011

James Douglas Morningstar, owner of Aries Computers & Cellular Oct. 2nd 1946 - May 2nd 2011 resident of Grants Pass, Passed away at his home of a massive heart attack. James was born in Sault Saint Marie, Michigan, raised in Strongs, Michigan. He was 42 when he came to Oregon to work at Aries Computers He was one of seven children born to the late Boyd and Aline Morningstar and was the beloved husband of Joan Morningstar for 21 years. James will forever be remembered by his devoted brothers Thomas of Carp Lake, Gerald and (Brenda) of St. Ignace, Donald and John both of Strongs, loving sisters Sandra and (Al) McLean of Rudyard, and Debra and (Ken) Brabant of Newberry, son Clark along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. James loved listening to KRRM our local country western music station, winning when he played Euchre (boy was he good at Euchre, calling his family in Michigan every weekend, having fun with friends, baking his killer cookies for his wife, Casa Amiga's Lilia & friends, cooking dinner for everyone, trying to figure out who could he help next daily, growing hot peppers and the laughing at how hot he and his friends can take their peppers. James touched the lives of every person that met him with his smile and readiness to help his friends when they were in need. His trademark was his gigantic heart, he helped everybody until he couldn't help anymore...his heart finally gave out. Jim had an enormous sense of humor, yet when he was being told a joke he could never "'get' the punch line. The family had an open house 3 days after Jim's passing. It was a wonderful celebration of his life. Thank you all for your love and condolences you have given to his wife Joan. You all have been a wonderful amount of support.
