Jacqueline J. Wright, 76 of Grants Pass passed away November 22, 2012 at her home in Grants Pass A Commemorative Brunch for Jackie will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 10:30 to noon in the Evergreen Room at Tap Rock Restaurant in Grants Pass. Attendees are asked to bring their favorite memory of Jackie for sharing. Jacqueline Justine LeRoux Wright was born May 31, 1936 to Georges and Dorothy LeRoux in Great Falls, Montana. She attended Great Falls public schools and earned a degree from Montana State University (now University of Montana) in Missoula. After completing her education, Jackie became an elementary teacher in Tacoma, Washington where she met her future husband, Dr. Roy Wright, DVM. They were married in Great Falls and returned to Tacoma where Dr. Wright maintained his practice. They adopted a son, Steven. Later they divorced and Jackie and Steve moved to Grants Pass, Oregon where Jackie taught at both Lincoln and Riverside Elementary Schools. Her favorite grade level was Third Grade and she was an inspiring teacher for many, especially when she taught writing skills. In her lifetime she enjoyed many hobbies, crafts, and skills including fiction writing, spinning and weaving, making miniature (doll house) furniture and quilting. She was an avid reader and a long time player in a card group with her neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son.
