Jack Allen Sublette, 84 of Grants Pass passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at his home in Grants Pass. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 1:00 PM, Stephens Family Chapel, Grants Pass with Pastor Ken Bern officiating In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to: Asanteâ Hospice Jack was born on August 26, 1922 in Portland, Oregon to Jacob and Myrtle Sublette. He attended school at Kellogg Elementary Scholl and graduated from Franklin High School in Portland, Oregon. Jack served during WWII in the U.S. Army as a tank driver. He served from October 29, 1942 until his honorable discharge on February 6th, 1946. Jack married Florence Mae Ricks on September 22nd, 1947 at Lents Baptist Church in Portland, Oregon. In 1962 they moved to Grants Pass from Portland. Jack worked as a local and long-haul truck driver for most of his life. He loved family reunions, studying family history going over to the coast, watching animal planet and going out to dinner. Survivors include his wife Florence Sublette of Grants Pass; Daughter and Son-in-law Nancy and Jim Hubbard of Grants Pass; Son and daughter-in-law Paul and Terry Sublette of Spokane, Washington; Son, Gary Sublette of Grants Pass; Son, Jim Sublette of Grants Pass; Eight Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren.
