Irene Frances Gordon

Irene Frances Gordon went to sleep in the arms of Jesus February 1st 2017 at Providence Medical Center. Born November 19th 1931 in Tabernacle New Jersey. She was one of nine children born to Violet (Laura) and Leroy William Dixon Sr. Her parents and siblings began to move westward when she was just a tot living in Colorado and Northern California before settling in the Rogue Valley when she was seven. At 21 she joined the US Navy and was stationed in San Diego California. In 1967 she met and married Charles R. Gordon. They were living in San Jose Ca. when he passed away in 1973. She relocated back to the Rogue Valley shortly after his death. This was always where she felt was home. She is survived by her daughter Susan, son in law, Richard and three grandchildren, Natalie Irene, Ryan and Sean. Four great Grandchildren, Madison, Chloe, Alexa and Ariannah. She was a beautiful woman, kind and thoughtful. Loved her grandchildren dearly. Rest in Peace Mom. We love you.
