Irene Rose Gonnella, 100, of Grants Pass died December 22, 2011, at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass. No services are planned. Cremation Arrangements by Stephens Family Chapel, Grants Pass, Oregon Irene Rose Gilardoni was born on July 27, 1911 in Italy; she came to America from Como, Italy as a young girl with her family and settled in Sonoma County. She was the wife of Rueben H. Gonnella of Occidental, California he preceded her in death. She came to live in Oregon with her son, Tim Gonnella and family in 2004. She loved to be surrounded by family and friends and share her wonderful skills as a cook and baker. Irene and her husband supplemented their income every year by making Christmas wreaths in Occidental, California. It was a tradition shared by most of the Gonnella family. Her son Tim, his wife Debbie, grandchildren, Angelina Gonnella Ensey, Gabriel Gonnella & Jacob Gonnella, survives her. She also had 8 great grandchildren, Gabriel, Analisia, Giovanni, Jeremiah, Dimarco, Josiah, Alexia, Tatiana.
