Howrene (Howie) Bernice Voss, 60 of Grants Pass died Tuesday, November 20, 2013 at OHSU in Portland. A Celebration of Life Potluck will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the River Valley Community Church in Grants Pass, in room 107. Born on November 13, 1953 in Arlington, Virginia, she moved with her family to Wolf Creek at a young age, attended local schools, and graduated in 1971 from Grants Pass High School. After graduating from Rogue Community College Beauty School, she was employed by House of Charles Beauty Salon, where she worked for many years. She was also employed for several years at Masterbrand, before returning to RCC where she obtained a certificate in Massage Therapy. She married John Voss on October 6, 1976, giving birth in 1990 to her only child. She enjoyed Rubber Stamping, Card Making, Crafting and watching movies. Survivors include Daughter, Meghan Sether of Grants Pass, Oregon; Brothers, Mooney Miller of Seattle, Washington, Dan Selby of Flintville, Tennessee; Sisters, Sue Nation of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Cathy O'Brien of Walla Walla, Washington, Lori Hicks of Grants Pass, Oregon; and a Grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband and both parents.
