Helen Luick, 76, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 28, 2008, at Fair View Transitional Health Center in Grants Pass, Oregon. Services will be held at Stephens Family Chapel on Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. Helen was born on Oct. 5, 1931 to Abram and Margaret Dyck in Hespeler, Ontario, Canada. After growing up in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., Canada, she married Eldon Luick and became a United States citizen in 1960. In 1967, she gave birth to her only child, Wayne. Helen and her family settled in Grants Pass in 1975 after which Helen worked as a waitress at the Elks Lodge. Within a year after Eldon passing in 1981, Helen came to work for Litton Industries where she worked on components for Tomahawk missiles. Helen retired from Litton Industries in 1994. Helen will always be remembered for her smile, good cheer, jokes and tenacity. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, and cooking. Survivors include her son and his family, Wayne, Paula, Brady and Bethany Luick of Firestone, CO; two brothers, Eric and Jake Dyck; and sister, Alma Dyck, all of Ontario, Canada.
