Helen Adams

Helen Elizabeth Adams, loving wife of Raymond Elmer Adams and devoted mother to Diane Elizabeth King and Stephen Edward Adams, died peacefully on April 19th, 2013. Helen was born on July 7th, 1916 in Sacramento, California. She was raised in Santa Rosa, California and graduated from St. Luke's Hospital in San Francisco, California as a Registered Nurse. Helen met the love of her life Raymond, at her sixth birthday party. They were married October 30th, 1939 and shared seventy-one beautiful years together. Helen enjoyed reading, taking walks, and playing piano. She had a love for fashion and enjoyed dressing up for parties and family gatherings. Helen raised her family in Castro Valley, California where she lived for sixty-six years. She was a member of Questers and a past President of the Castro Valley Women's Club. She enjoyed playing Bridge and socializing with her treasured friends. She is survived by her children Diane King married to Rick King and Stephen Adams married to Ellie Adams. Her four grandchildren, Michael Smoot, Julie Homen, Kacey Roberts, Lisa Garcia, and her two step-grandchildren Tricia Shroyer and Kristi White. She is also survived by her nine great grandchildren.
