Hazel A. Walker, 86, of Rogue River died Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Highland House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. No services are planned. Walker was born May 15, 1923, in Riverside, Calif., to Oscar and Inez Clayton. On Dec. 21, 1958, in Southern California, she married Frank Edward Walker, who died Nov. 29, 2009. She worked in aircraft plants for many years before moving to Grants Pass in 1965 from Redondo Beach, Calif. In 1973, she and her husband moved to Rogue River. She worked as a caregiver until her retirement in 2000. She enjoyed oil painting, writing letters, gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include a son, Christopher Uebel of Reno; a daughter, Jackie Kilpatrick of Grants Pass; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grand-children.
