Harold Norman Ramler, 82, of Williams died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at Three Rivers Community Hospital. Private services have been held. Interment was at Sparlin Cemetery in Williams. He was born Aug. 23, 1925, in Downey, Calif., to Franklin and Ruth Ramler. During World War II, he served in the Navy and was honorably discharged Feb. 1, 1946. He worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years. In September 2007, he moved to Williams from Oceano, Calif. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, traveling with his RV club and listening to old-time country music. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Ramler of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Paul Ramler of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Laurel Perkins of Williams, and Carolyn Ramler of Elizabethtown, Pa.; and six grandchildren. A grandson, Thomas Ramler Jr., died in 1999.
