Harold Henry Lacombe

Harold Henry Lacombe, 74, of Grants Pass died Feb. 8, 2010, at his home. Services will be held in Waterville, Maine, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association National Headquarters, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Suite 800, Washington, D.C. 20004. He was born April 6, 1935, in Waterville to Pierre and Mary Jane (Veilleux) Lacombe. He served in the Navy from Feb. 10, 1953, until his honorable discharge on March 30, 1956. On Sept. 12, 1959, in Waterville, he married Marie Michaud, who survives. They moved to Grants Pass in 2001. He was a member of the American Legion and he enjoyed woodworking, trap shooting, running marathons, camping and hanging out with his family. In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, David Lacombe of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Peter Lacombe of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; a brother, Robert Lacombe of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
