Gerald Brown "Gary" Elliott

Gerald (Gary) Brown Elliott, 71, of Grants Pass, Oregon died peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. No services are planned. Gary was born January 17, 1940, in Tillamook, Oregon to Don and Milda Elliott. He graduated from Oregon Technical Institute with a degree in electronics, while having worked as a volunteer fireman for room and board. He worked for EG&G at the Nevada Mercury Test Site for 30 years; first as an electronics technician and later as the computer systems manager. He retired in 1993 to his Thunder Star Ranch in Merlin, Oregon. He was a life time member of the Elks Fraternal Organization, holding several chairs during the years. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, BarBara; his son, Tom Elliott of Las Vegas, Nevada; his daughter, Michelle Elliott of San Martin, California; his brother, Sid Fisher of Cloverdale, Oregon; and 2 grandsons. He was preceded in death by his sister, Verla Kneeland.
