Gary Albert "Bear" Montrezza, 69, died of a heart attack in his home on February 8, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Stephens Family Chapel. Born May 27, 1944 to Albert and Bernice Montrezza in San Jose, California, Bear spent his formative years playing football and saxophone. He attended Lincoln High School in San Jose, graduating in 1962. An avid fly fisherman and outdoorsman with a penchant for spinning tall tales, he moved to Grants Pass in 1979 to fulfill his love of the outdoors. He retired as a bus driver from the Josephine County Transit District in 2012. He is survived by his sister Charlotte Montrezza of Grants Pass; his three sons Gary L. Montrezza of Santa Cruz, CA, James Montrezza of San Jose, CA, and Michael Montrezza of Los Gatos, CA; his two daughters Joanna Stallsworth of Albany OR and Sherah Clemetson of Vancouver, WA; and eight grandchildren.
