Gary Dean Davisson, 56 of Grants Pass, passed away Monday, January 15, 2007 at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass. A Celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 20th, 2007 at Stephens Family Chapel in Grants Pass. Memorials may be made to Better Life Television PO Box 766, Grants Pass, OR 97528 or www.betterlifetv.tv Gary Dean Davisson was born in Inglewood, California Feb. 18, 1950 to his parents Dean and Beverly Davisson. He attended College in Fullerton, Ca. where he received his BA. During the Viet Nam war Gary participated in the arrangement and distribution of Christmas Trees to our troops bringing a little piece of home to their barracks. Gary helped with the raising of his nephew, Rusty after the death of his younger sister Darla. In the early 1980âs Gary moved to Oregon, where he later met and married his present wife, Neila Mae Moore. Gary enjoyed graphic art design and made it his career. In Grants Pass he worked at the Daily Courier and Nickel selling and designing ads for local businesses. Later he started his own business âIn-House Advertisingâ. Gary worked for the Grants Pass Downs as their exclusive advertising agent for the yearly horse racing event. In 2002 Gary and Neila began the writing and production of his dream called âPuppet Paradeâ a Christian program for children. This small project that had itâs birth at the local television station KBLNâs Better Life Television has now turned into a worldwide program aired on TBNâs Smile of a Child network. Gary felt that he had served Godâs purpose in his life by following his dream of Puppet Parade. His hobbies included music, photography and family gatherings. Gary is survived by his wife Neila Mae Moore, sister, Diann Davisson and father Dean Davisson, both residing in Southern California. He will be missed by his church family and friends.
