Gary Ray Arthur, 63 of Grants Pass passed away March 26, 2015 at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, Oregon. A Celebration of Life will be held this Saturday, April 4, 2015, 1:00 PM at Stephens Family Chapel in Grants Pass, Oregon. Gary was born on March 29, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to James and Sally Arthur. He grew up in Concord, Massachusetts and later moved to Kwajalein, Marshall Island in 1966 graduating in 1968. He served 6 years in the United States Air Force. On February 5, 1972 he married Deborah Kay Sharpe at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. On May 21, 1977 he graduated with a Bachelors Degree from The University of Maine. He worked 8 years for Data General Corp in Southboro, Massachusetts. In 1985 Gary and his family moved from Shrewsbury, MA to Southern Oregon where he was an owner/operator of his business in wood products. In 2005 he and his sons started Arthur Products INC. in Reno, NV which is still being ran today. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing Men's softball and wallyball before he became ill. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, James Arthur of Reno, NV and Joseph Arthur of Reno, NV; daughter, Julie Verner of Grants Pass, OR; brothers James Arthur of Cape Cod, MA and Donald Arthur of Cape Cod, MA; sisters, Vicki Hartman of Londenville, OH and Susan Arthur Munro of Reno, NV; 9 grandchildren.. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally M. Arthur July 20, 2006 and his father, James S. Arthur November 4, 2014.
