Garry Belden Egan, 81, of Grants Pass, passed away on November 9, 2024 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center. Born on December 8, 1942 in San Jose, California to Charles and Alice Egan, he grew up in Campbell, California. After graduating high school, Garry left at the age of 17 to dedicate two terms of service to the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country with distinction.
An avid tennis player, Garry enjoyed the sport for over 60 years, showcasing his passion and commitment both on and off the court. His love for the game was only paralleled by the joy he found in spending time with his children and grandchildren. His life, legacy and love for his family will be remembered and forever cherished as a pillar of strength and love, always putting the needs and happiness of his family first.
The beloved husband, father and grandfather is survived by his wife Linda, of Grants Pass; daughter, Kelly McClellan and son-in-law, Jeffrey of Lebanon, Oregon; son, Michael Egan of Grants Pass; grandson, Dylan Egan of Phoenix, Arizona; and granddaughters, Megan Bartley of Independence, Oregon, Ashleigh Bartley of Grants Pass and Natalia Egan of Cave Junction.
Private services will be held at Roseburg National Cemetery, where Garry will be laid to rest with the honors befitting a veteran of his standing.
