Francis Armstrong McCrackin

Francis " Frank" Armstrong McCrackin, 88 of Grants Pass passed away, August 2, 2012 at Maureen's Adult Foster Care in Grants Pass. Private Family Services will be held at a later date. He was born on March 10, 1924 in La Junta, Colorado to Francis and Katharine McCrackin. Frank served in the United States Army receiving his honorable discharge on May 20, 1946. He married Coletta Edwards on July 7, 1946 she preceded him in death on March 21, 1981. Frank married Sheilah Evans on May 30, 1981 who survives. Frank worked for Southern California Edison Company for 30+ years retiring in 1983 as Head of Research and Development. He moved to Grants Pass from Anaheim, California in 1984. Frank was a member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church In addition to his wife survivors include six children, Kathleen Lee, Carol O'Neill, Mary K. Clark, Jeffrey Evans, James Evans and Pamela Boston; siblings Russell McCrackin and Margaret Drake; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. His son Michael McCrackin preceded him in death in 2009.
