Floyd Woodrow Pittman

April 1, 1918 — July 21, 2011

Floyd W. Pittman, 93, of Grants Pass died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Fair View Transitional Health Center. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Stephens Family Chapel, with Marvin Clark, pastor of Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church, officiating. Pittman was born April 1, 1918, in Mineral Wells, Texas. On Oct. 15, 1938, in Texas, he married Mozelle Grey, who died May 25, 2009. They moved to California in 1943. He worked as a boilermaker for more than 40 years. In 1985, he and his wife moved to Grants Pass. He enjoyed games and cars. He especially enjoyed his work and his family. Survivors include two children, Sandy Paige and Tom Pittman, both of Grants Pass; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
