Fern A. Johnson

Fern A. Johnson of Grants Pass, passed away on September 12 of age related causes at the age of 88. She was born near Shandon, California on January 29, 1922 and moved to Grants Pass as a young girl where she spent the rest of her life. She married Marvin A. “Chirp” Johnson in 1941. They had four children. Fern was a member of the First Christian Church for more than 50 years and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Chirp, a son Timothy, and a grandson Kord. She is survived by a son Barry of Cottage Grove, a son Jeffrey of Buxton, and a daughter Kay of Tustin, California, a brother Rodger Olsen of Grants Pass, nine grand children and two great grand children. Her ashes will be interned next to those of her husband Chirp at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
