Fern Olive Ebert, 83, of Wolf Creek died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at her home. Private family services will be held. Contributions may be made to Lovejoy Hospice, 939 S.E. Eighth St., Grants Pass, OR 97526; or to Grants Pass Friends of the Library, P.O. Box 1713, Grants Pass, OR 97528. Ebert was born May 25, 1929, in Baudette, Minn., to John and Olive Morris. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1947 and she attended Contra Costa College. On June 25, 1947, in Richmond, Calif., she married Jerry Ebert, who survives. For many years, she owned and operated Contra Costa Embroidery and Trophy. On April 16, 1967, she and her husband moved to Wolf Creek from Walnut Creek, Calif. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Concord, Calif., and she enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, traveling, archaeology and homemaking. In addition to her husband, survivors include three children, Cynthia J. Ebert Goff, Suzanne M. Ebert Isola, and Jerry L. Ebert Jr.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A grandson, Colten Smith, died before her.
