Faith Loretta Ball, 66, of Grants Pass, Oregon, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at her home.
Faith was born to Abraham and Arlene Janzen in Portland, Oregon on June 3, 1954. She experienced a few different locations growing up including Portland, OR; Winnipeg and Piney Canada; Corpus Christi, TX; and Canby, OR. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Biblical Education. On August 21, 1982 she married James Ball in Portland, OR and together they had 4 children and they adopted two more children in 2005 for a total of 6 children. For employment, Faith worked an entire year in Shrewsbury, England and she also held other jobs such as a secretary for Nationwide Insurance, more secretarial work for Luise Pallow, and she also participated in many volunteer positions. These include teaching Sunday school at First Baptist, playing piano at Columbia Community Bible Church, CEF painting and printing for 10 years, GNC teacher since her teenage years, Camp Good News Club, family liaison for the National Guard, and most importantly she was a loving stay at home mother and grandmother. She was incredibly involved with her church and community and loved being a missionary having made many trips to Afghanistan and Mexico. Faith was an avid walker with many additional pastimes like camping, being in nature, cross stitching, reading, bible studies, board games, and above all she enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She also studied German and often sung German drinking songs. Incredibly, she achieved a lifelong dream in 2011 when she finally acquired a convertible car for her birthday!
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Janzen and Arlene Janzen, and two brothers, Bruce Janzen and Keith Janzen.
Faith is survived by her husband, James Alfred Ball Jr; 6 children, James, Nathan, Sera, Andrew, Alicia, and Danielle; her brother, Dale Janzen; her sister, Joy Maloney; 8 grandchildren; and her cat, Daisy.
