Elaine Margaret Mangrum

Elaine Margaret (Brandt) Mangrum, 88, passed away February 21, 2016 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass, Oregon after suffering a stroke. Elaine was born May 22, 1927 in Arpin, WI to Raymond and Irene (Fell) Brandt. Elaine was united in marriage July 29, 1946 at St John's Church in Pittsville Wi to Herbert Russell Mangrum. They lived together in Forest Park, IL until 1972 when they moved to Garden Grove, CA. After the death of her husband, she moved to Grants Pass, where she lived until her death. She spent most of working career as an electronic assembler working for various companies including, Motorola and LH Research. She enjoyed crafting, gardening and cooking. She was a long time member of St Paul's where she was active in the LWML Guild. Herbert preceded her in death on August 17, 1997. Preceding Elaine in death were her parents, brothers Alfred and Robert Brandt, and daughter-in-law Virginia Mangrum. Survivors include son, James Mangrum , of Grants Pass,OR, brother Albin Brandt of Pittsville, WI. Grandchildren, Shellie Miller and Ronald Bennett both of Medford, OR and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 12th at 11am. Lunch will served following the service.
