Elaine Mun Tean Chan

“Elaine” Mun Tean Chan, 42, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, December 17, 2009, at her home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Home Valley Bank, 1532 NE F Street, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526 Attn: Lindsey Lahr She was born Mun Tean Chan on July 12, 1967 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to John and Angie Chan. Elaine attended University of Iowa receiving her Bachelors Degree and completing her Masters Degree at Fresno, State. She married James Johnson on August 24, 2002 in Monterey, CA. She worked for Clovis Convalescent Hospital in Clovis before moving to Grants Pass in 2006 from Fresno, California. While living here in Grants Pass Elaine worked for Home Valley Bank and Fire Mountain Gems. Elaine loved cooking, photography and spending time with her two daughters. In addition to her husband survivors include her two daughters, Hannah and Amy Johnson of Grants Pass; father Johnny Chan of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and her mother Angie NG of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
