Eileen Shropshire

Eileen Shropshire, 73, of Merlin passed away on Monday, July 12, 2010 at her home. Visitation will be held Monday, July 19, 2010 from 9:00am-10:15am at River Valley Community Church Funeral Services will begin 10:30am at River Valley Community Church with Pastor Ken Emilio officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at Eagle point National Cemetery. Donations may be made to her favorite charities: Gospel Rescue Mission or St. Jude Children̢۪s Research Hospital. She was born Eileen Alice Harker on April 29, 1937 in Jamaica, New York to Ernest & Ethel Harker. She studied music at Palomar College in San Marcos, CA. On May 12, 1986 in San Diego she married James Shropshire who survives. In southern California she for Coldwell Banker as a Real Estate agent and then sales manager for Seedco in Escondido, California. In 2002 Eileen and James moved to Merlin from Vista, California. Eileen was an accomplished artist & painter and enjoyed music. She was a member of the Josephine County Artist Association, Applegate Community Church. She actively took numerous painting and drawing lessons as well as many workshops for fine tuning her art at Southern Oregon Art School. In addition to her husband survivors include four daughters, Linda Leader of Atascadero, CA, Lorie Muller of Orangevale, CA, Renee̢۪ Pillado of Vacaville, CA and Karen Powell of Fair Oaks, CA; sister, Valerie Tisile of Sun City West, Arizona; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
